Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek

The righteous live by faith in our lord and savior. This week we are having the youth who attend Calvary Chapel. Over to nangombe for a retreat. We are teaching them life skills and scriptures of the gospels. This evening we talked about evangelism and what it means to share gods word to the masses. How do you get them to listen I was asked? I shared with them. Find out who they are and what they do? Ask them if they are experiencing and trials and if you can pray for them. By engaging in conversations out can open up and talk about our lord Jesus and how he is our stronghold to our lives. Some of the kids were fearful and worried. It was brought up don’t be ashamed of the word. The lord uses us to minister to his people. The lord will give us the words to share what needs to be said. The lord gave us the Holy Spirit not of fear but of power, love, and self control. Just like it says here in Romans for it is the power of God that we have salvation in his life. We must believe that Jesus is here to use us. We must come and surrender ourselves each day to allow his to use us for his glory. As I looked around the class of 22 I saw the youth in many walks with the lord. Kids with no family, money for cloths or food. And I thought how hard it is for them. But then I said God has a plan for each of these kids. He is going to use them for his glory and that they will be saved by the power of his mercy. When we hold firm to what we believe and want to grow the word with in us. We should never feel ashamed for we know that the lord is with us in our goofs and our comings now and forevermore.
