Little children you are from god and have over come them, he who is in n you is greater than who is in the world. 

What a symbolic way to start out scripture. When we become born again we are infants or little in our knowledge. But we are from God and being someone of God we are his children. Being a faithful Christian we have overcome the and know what the sin does in the world.  God is greater than the one who is of the world (satan) the life of an American has many distractions. Our work life will pull us in one direction, our desires will pull us in another, finances pull in another. When we stop and think about what we are filling our time with. Many come to realize that they don’t leave time to speak and pray to the lord. The relationship with god is for Sunday’s some will say. But this is not true our relationship with Christ should be daily communication. When the desires of the world do come, we need to know scriptures to combat the flesh, to ward off the devil. When we are new Christians this can be hard. As we grow in faith we become stronger and steadfast. Christians will still fall and sin we are all human at the end of the day. But when we sin it’s the recognition of that sin that we bring it before the lord. When we are close with the lord the devil is close behind waiting to step in and bring us back to reality. With a world of sin and darkness this can happen very quickly. We must guard our self a with the Holy Spirit and follow what the lord has blessed us with from the Bible. Knowing him and having a relationship not being persuaded by the earthly realm that Satan is in more of.
