John 3:19

The light has come into the world but the people liked the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 

When the scripture of John was written times were different then than the  times now. A life of sin was living in darkness and not of the light. With the lack of faith and a sour spirit one lives in a habitual life of sin. Following the shadows of darkness because it is safe and you do what makes you comfortable or happy. This way of life does not produce fruit for the lord. The wants people to recognize their wrong doings and come to the lord in repentance. Many choose not to accept the salvation that Christ gave to us. But take the road many travel of sin and darkness. In the world we live in now it is easier so lie, cheat, and steal your way through life. Living for self and not for Christ. When someone knows scripture and who God is. It is hard to withdraw yourself from Him. The Word is true and good it never said it was going to be easy but the Lord said he would never forsake us. Jesus is the light and we are in the image of Christ. Therefor we have the light with in us. We must bring ourselves to Christ and be filled with the Holy Spirit so that we can serve the lord. Bringing more individuals to his word. As a Christian with a growing relationship with the lord. I find it difficult living a life in the worldly world. Buying things, allowing pride to guide the way of life and saying things that are not true in nature. When you are in the word and working with the lord life happens or it doesn’t. We still have wants and desires but we must make sure that they are pleasing to the lord. That what we are asking would benefit the kingdom of god.
