Luke 8

Luke 8:11-15
Now the parable is this, the seed is the word of God. the ones along  the path are those who have heard then devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts. so that they may not believe and be saved. and the ones on the rock are those who when they hear the word receive it with joy. but these have no root they believe for awhile and in time of testing fall away and as got what fell among the thorns they are these who hear but their fruit does not mature.as for that in the good soil they are those who hearing the world hold it fast in an honest and good heart and bear fruit with patience.

this parable has four areas that we as Christians will take a stand on. the first  the seed along the path  listening  to the devil as their embodiment. the second are hearers who receive the word with joy and believe but since they are not rooted in faith they will fall away and bear no fruit. the third is a kind soil that contains thorns. they are satisfied and stay on their ways but don't mature their gifts. and the last are believers with honest and good hearts.they hold fast to the word and bear much fruit. As a child and teenager i fell into this second group of believers I didn't have my christian roots planted so that I would be able to withstand the turbulent times that were going to be presented in my life. I feel many Christians fall into this category  of believe at some point living in the secular world of faith and faithfulness. this that scares me because individuals will want to share there love and joy of the lord on shaky ground. for me as a christian i want the truth and nothing but the truth. from life experiences not by what one thinks it ought to be but a as the believers in section four. As i am growing one thing that I am working on is Patience patience to bear good fruit, Patience with life, patience with people who are living on different life, patience in progress. with patience comes much fruit i was a born  farmer, i am educated in many facets but it wasn't until coming to the lord and be coming anew that i felt the growing of the fruit. this was important to me in more than one way, I was a farm kid who to this day grows my garden physically. it is a humbling time when you are getting  to know the lord and that things are set in motion for a reasons and believe it. you must persevere and believe it having faith in your understandings. when you begin to have dought read scripture call upon the lord asking to build ones knowledge patients to withstand our position on our faith. We will be tested in our believes in the situations that will shake the ground we walk on so it is vital to make a firm foundation and grow from perseverance and truth.
