Revelations 1:9
I john your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus was on the island called patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus

In this section of scripture im lost in thought was john lost on the island of patmos no because he was one with god. it says that john  was a partner with the church. as the church was being prosecuted so was john for his beliefs this was the reason why  john was exiled to patmos so that he would not be heard. john kept his patients knowing Christs word and enduring  Jesus says in John 16:33 take heart for I have overcome the world. As we are being tested we must remember that Jesus paid for our sins keeping in line with that we are able to persevere through tribulations towards us as Christians. as he begins to write about his time we find that he is allowing the lord to speak to the churches. believing in our faith that Christ is with us and will get us through the rough seas ahead of us. without perseverance we will be lost and fall short of the directions Christ has for us as Christians.
