2 Corinthians 1:12
for our boasting is this the testimony of our conscience that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of god and supremely so toward you.
Paul begins the body of his letter with a detailed defense of why he had changed his mind more than once regarding his earlier plans to return to the Corinthians. Paul begins boasting his testimony. we think of boasting as a bad thing in our culture, here is verse 12 boasting is not if the objects of ones boasting is not ones self. Paul boasted because he acted with simplicity by doing this it is he is not in a sinful or flesh. but by wisdom but by the grace of God.
